YarnBrook Privacy Policy
Effective 5 October 2026.
YarnBrook is a single-player game that runs entirely on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. YarnBrook does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. The game has no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking. The only time it uses the internet is to ask the store you downloaded it from about the one purchase described below.
The one purchase
YarnBrook is free to start. After the first week of play, one payment unlocks the whole game for good. On iPhone that purchase is made through Apple's App Store, with your Apple Account. Apple handles the payment and tells the game only whether your account owns the full game. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account, and the game stores only a note on your device that the full game is unlocked. Apple's own privacy policy covers what Apple does with a purchase.
What stays on your device
- Your save. Your farm, your town, the names you type and the letters you write to in-game residents are stored in the app's own storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Photos. Pictures you take in the game's photo mode are saved in the app's own folder, which you can open in the Files app. The game does not read or write your photo library.
- The clock. The game reads your device's date and time so that crops grow and the town keeps its hours. That information is not stored anywhere but your save and is not sent anywhere.
Permissions
YarnBrook never asks for the camera, the microphone, your location, your contacts or your photo library.
Children
YarnBrook is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Backups
If you use iCloud or a computer to back up your device, your save may be included in that backup under your own Apple account. We have no access to it.
Changes
If a future version changes any of this, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
